Jane made breakfast lovely, and the conversation was just as nice. The B&B sits right by the forest known from LOTR, which was a highlight for us. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed plus thoughtful extras like tea and towel warmers. We were honeymooning and would happily stay again, especially on our next trip to Wellington. Five stars from us.

The hill is worth keeping in mind if you’re walking, and the nearby park has hiking trails with some delightful surprises along the way. Jane is simply lovely, and the staff gave us great recommendations. My friend and I stayed two nights in October 2025, and really appreciated having a room with two beds for a non-romantic trip.

Mount Victoria is right next door, and we loved hiking there. Booklovers BnB also has a great location for walking to good food and bars, with a quiet, comfortable place to come back to. My wife and I stayed two nights during our September trip to NZ. We enjoyed the bedroom view and the lovely breakfasts, and would highly recommend it for a Wellington visit.

The main bus stops right outside, which made the location perfect. Jane was a wonderful hostess and went out of her way to help us tired travellers. Our rooms were spotless, cosy, and comfortable. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Jane was delightful and helped us learn about Wellington’s many highlights. There’s free parking, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice too. Most places are walkable, and there’s a bus stop right outside if you’d rather ride. If you like hiking, the trail to Mount Victoria starts beside her home.
