City Cottages

These little cottages have so much character, and the location right in town is fantastic. There’s free parking, and being able to let ourselves in late at night after the Ferry was a big help for tired travellers. The room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. We were just stopping on the way through this time, but next time we might make it the destination. Thanks, guys!

The booking service was great, even with all the rebooking and changes caused by Covid cancellations. This was our third stay at the Cottages, and it’s still our favourite Wellington weekend spot. The little cottages are well kept and thoughtfully equipped for a couple of days in the city, with comfortable beds and fabulous pillows. We love the generous supply of teabags and the cookie jar, too. Great location for a city break. Thanks again, Jeff & Dean. We’ll be back!

We’re hoping to return before the end of the year or early next year, and rent both units so friends can come along. The cottage was lovely, and we enjoyed both our stay there and Wellington. We parked the car and walked everywhere thanks to the fantastic location. A hand towel, bath mat, and perhaps some salt and pepper would be useful additions. Otherwise, it was perfect. We’ve kept the accommodation details and told lots of people about the cottage. Thank you again.

We’d lived in Wellington for years and somehow never knew this cottage was here. Coming back as visitors, we were thrilled to find it. It’s surprisingly quiet despite the main road behind it, and has a cosy feel while still letting you make your own food. The facilities, atmosphere, and location are all great for the price. I’d recommend it if you want to be right in the centre.
