Quest On The Terrace Serviced Apartments

The area was very noisy, and the insulation was so bad you’ll need earplugs to sleep. The place was run down and outdated, with weak water pressure and water that smelled. The queen bed was made from two twin spring mattresses. The washer/dryer didn’t leave clothes feeling fresh, and the teapot didn’t work.

We booked a one-bedroom apartment months ahead, expecting it to include a pool. When we arrived, there was no pool at the property, and we’d have to walk to another Quest up the road to use one. The apartment we paid for also turned out to be a standard one. When I asked them to fix it, they said all the one-bedrooms were sold out. It felt like they’d sold our room to someone else, assuming we wouldn’t notice. Deceptive.

Parking was the problem for me. It costs NZD 25 a night, and the space is really difficult to park in. The room itself was fine.

The location made it easy to get around downtown Wellington on foot, and I’d recommend it for a couple, a solo trip, or work travel. I spent three nights here in January 2024 and had a fantastic stay. The service was great, and there was on-site parking. My room had everything I needed: a stove and oven, washer and dryer, a large double bed, TV, Wi-Fi, and a view toward the Harbour.
