I wouldn’t stay here again. I was given a gift card with a one-year expiry and tried to book just one day after it expired, but they wouldn’t accept it. They took the money for nothing. The law has since changed to stop companies doing things like this, but it still shows me that this hotel doesn’t value its guests. Avoid.

The hotel is beautifully cared for, and I love its look, from the stairwell and lift to the claw foot bathtubs. It’s a beautiful place in an amazing old building.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was well equipped. We found a couple of places for drinks and food reasonably nearby. We only stayed one night, so can’t say much about the service or location, and I would’ve liked more time to explore the building.

I came for work, and being so close to it, as well as central amenities, made this very good value. The room was beautiful and quiet, with high ceilings, and the communication about arriving later in the day or evening was great. If you love old-world design and charm, you’ll love this place. The building is over 100 years old, with a gorgeous staircase and an old lift with a lattice sliding door. Honestly, the stairs are quicker!
