The room was unbearably hot when we finally got in. We shut every curtain and opened the windows, and hoped the night would be cooler. Later, the room started making strange noises, which made things uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping from midnight until 9. The rest of the day was fun, and then we headed back to Auckland, but the sudden disruption and high heat made for a bad start to my first time in Wellington. My family had already waited five hours and planned everything around getting the keys at about 2:00. At check-in, we were told the rooms hadn’t been cleaned and we’d need to wait another hour. A cleaner walking around didn’t know what was happening, so I called reception and heard more apologies and that they’d call once cleaning was done. After another hour, we checked again, and it still wasn’t ready. We checked once more 45 minutes later, and finally got in. We had to go ask ourselves instead of receiving the promised call. After dinner, the receptionist called 46 minutes later, which is why we’d decided to rely on ourselves. I understand delays happen, but the plans we’d made were interrupted. I wouldn’t recommend this if you can’t handle intense heat and sudden changes of plan.

Our flight couldn’t land in Wellington because of the weather, and every flight that day was cancelled. We had booked to stay here with family in the first week of February, but the hotel kindly refunded that night even though the reservation was non-refundable. They didn’t have to do that, and I really appreciate it. I’d been looking forward to the stay, and will definitely book this property next time I’m in Wellington. Thank you!

The apartment is a spacious one bedroom, with the kitchen, lounge, and dining area together. The bathroom is excellent, and the washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher are a real bonus for a longer stay. It’s right in the middle of the city CBD and has been nicely renovated, though it’s not completely modern. There’s no elevator, but the apartment is only one level up from the street.

Set back from the street, it was quiet, but still very handy for excellent shopping and a huge choice of places to eat. The rooms were a good size and comfortable, and so were the beds. Recommend.

Everything was within walking distance, including coffee, bars, restaurants, and the airport bus. The apartment was clean and tidy, with a hairdryer, towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner included. They let us store our luggage next door before or after check-in. The Vietnamese restaurant downstairs was a real convenience when it rained. Great apartment and well priced. Recommend.
