Avenue Heights Motel

I booked one room directly through the Avenue Heights Motel website for January 27, 2027, more than a year ahead. After our travel plans changed, I emailed on February 1 with the booking confirmation number to cancel and asked for a brief acknowledgment. I heard nothing, so I emailed again on February 2, clearly repeating the cancellation request and asking for confirmation in writing. Still nothing. Their policy allows cancellations up to 24 hours ahead without a no-show fee. I'm cancelling over a year in advance, not a day or even a week before. I just want a short email confirming they've received it, so I'm not left worrying about future charges or having to dispute anything with my credit card company. The booking was handled efficiently, and I expected the same professionalism when cancelling. I hope Avenue Heights Motel improves its communication and acknowledges cancellations as promptly as reservations.

The rooms are amazingly clean, almost like new, and have everything you need. They’re good value for what you get, and can be serviced daily if required. We had a great time, and the pool was a bonus for the kids. Thanks for the stay.

We got in late because of flight delays, and the owner stayed up for us. We were extremely grateful. The place was very clean and comfortable, and in an excellent spot on the main road.

The room was attended to and the refreshments restocked each day, which you don't see everywhere. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the motel was exceptionally clean, the cleanest we've stayed at in a long time. We spent three nights here, right in the middle of everything and about a 15-minute walk to town. Very impressed.
