The kitchen setup made our five-night family trip much easier. Our whānau had a stove, fridge, microwave, and all the pots, pans and utensils we needed, so we could cook our own kai instead of eating out every night with our little one. The on-site laundry helped too. We could put a load on while we explored, instead of taking a mountain of washing home. Our 3-year-old boy especially loved the spa bath and spent ages splashing and giggling, always asking for five more minutes. The rooms were bright and airy, spotlessly clean, and had fresh linens, so we felt at home as soon as we arrived. We could get to town easily by a short drive or a nice walk, for coffee, shops or local parks. The staff were friendly and approachable, and Stephanie and David were especially accommodating. They agreed straight away when we asked for an early check-in and a late checkout to fit our travel plans, which made a big difference for our busy whānau. We couldn't have asked for more from this five-night getaway. We left feeling refreshed and well cared for, and we're already planning to come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we'll book again soon!

We loved staying at Lodge Bordeaux. Stephanie and David were great to deal with, and the place is kept extremely neat and tidy with commendable attention to detail. It's very central and close to everything in Whangarei. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting.

Our room was clean and spacious, smelled divine, and the hosts were lovely. They gave us the warmest welcome and helped us at 10pm. We'll definitely stay here again. Thank you so much!

The owners seem like very nice people. I only had a short stay, so I didn't get to talk with them longer. The motel has big rooms with kitchenettes and spa tubs. It's on a busy street and a way out from Whangarei's main tourist area, so I gave the location four stars, although it was very quiet at night.

We needed a place quickly during a last-minute emergency trip north for the Whangarei hospital and decided to try this motel. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The location was central and convenient for everything, and the rooms had all we needed. It felt homely, and Josh at reception was amazing, super friendly and accommodating. He helped my family and me find rooms at very short notice. We're very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it. Thank you!
