We had three nights here with no issues, and the owners were lovely. They even brought fresh towels to our room. It was easy to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the clean rooms came with cookies, which was a nice bonus. Everything’s close by: two supermarkets are a few minutes’ walk away for cooking in the kitchen, takeaways are nearby too, and the town centre is under a 10 minute walk. The price was great, and we’ll definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

This was the best motel so far on our four week North Island tour. The unit was self contained with a kitchen, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. It was easy to find and convenient, and the lady owner was so friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Ma’am.

We’re back for our second stay and are very happy again. The staff welcomed us warmly and sorted out anything we needed straight away, which we really appreciated. My children loved staying here too and had lovely things to say about you all. Thanks for making us feel at home. Shops, supermarkets and takeaways are all within walking distance, and it’s a very lovely place for a great price. Being right next to McDonald’s is dangerous, though, it can get addictive 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you kindly 😊

We had a quiet, peaceful rest and felt right at home with the comfortable bed and lovely bedding. Takeaways are within walking distance, and the host was outstanding. We’ll support Motel Six again, and we recommend it to fellow South Africans.

We especially liked the thoughtful little touches and decorations around the rooms and property. They give Motel Six in Whangarei a warm, distinctive feel. It was clean, comfortable and good value, and we really enjoyed staying there. There are lots of places to eat close by, including some that stay open late. If you arrive in the city late and hungry, you can walk to plenty of well known restaurants and fast food places.
