You can walk to the beach in no time, and the restaurants are about three minutes away. The room was tidy, but paying over $470 a night and getting no air conditioning was disappointing. In the middle of summer it got uncomfortably hot. The fans just pushed warm air around and were noisy.

The location is handy, right by the beach and main road. The room wasn't clean, though, and there was no air conditioning. They did have fans in the rooms to cool off.

We cooked quite a bit, so the well-equipped kitchenette worked really well for us, and Four Square is close by for supplies. The room and bathroom were spacious, with a bath too, which we enjoy. From there it's just across the road to the beach, and about a two-minute walk to the ferry across the creek. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, or spend time. Staff recommended Smitty's on Albert street, and we had a lovely meal there. Whitianga has lots to offer, and this was a great place to enjoy it. We'd definitely stay again if we're passing through, and hope we can make that happen.

There's a good-sized pool, and the location is great, just a few minutes from the town center, cafes, and bars. The beach is very close too.

The bedroom had excellent curtains, but the screen blinds in the living area were almost see-through at night, so curtains there would help with privacy. Otherwise, the Deluxe Studio was clean, roomy, and very nice. The website photos were accurate. I'm not sure why it's called a studio when the bedroom is separate from the living area. I believe it was renovated in the last year. The kitchen had a full-sized fridge, the couch was comfortable, and the wifi was good. It's close to the beach, shops, and wharf, and convenient for exploring the rest of the Coromandel Peninsula. I'd recommend staying here and would come back.
