With limited chances for freedom camping in this area, we were glad to spend the night at this campground. We called the emergency number, arrived late in the evening, and paid the next morning. Great service, a very nice location, and tidy showers and toilets.

We arrived very late without a reservation. Their website showed sites available, but we still couldn't book online. At the place, a sign explained what to do for late arrivals, so we could shower and stay the night, then pay in the morning. Great service, spotless bathrooms, a hot shower and a fully equipped kitchen open all night. We'll definitely come back.

We found the park a great base while visiting the Coromandel Peninsula. It's just out of town, and the park is a good size, with every site close to the kitchen, toilets and other facilities. The booking process was super easy, and the owner-operated park has friendly, accommodating people. We're very thankful to the staff at Mercury Bay Holiday Park for making our holiday one to remember.

I've stayed here twice recently, first in a two-bedroom motel unit and then in the queen studio. The rooms and facilities are old, but clean and comfortable enough. There aren't many power points, and the Wi-Fi wasn't great. They should definitely get a new internet provider. I think it's a decent option for a reasonably priced family holiday.

We had a two-bedroom cabin that was clean and worked really well for three adults and three kids. There was a trampoline, a play group and a pool, and the location was great.
