Desert Rose Camp

The food was a highlight. Dinner and breakfast were fresh and delicious, and Mr. Shakeb Hussain looked after everyone at mealtime with a smile, making sure guests were happy and feel special. Hospitality from every staff member we met was genuinely 10/10. They were polite, humble and eager to help, and you could tell they wanted guests to have a great time. At reception, Mr. Noor welcomed us warmly when we arrived. He was gentle, patient and helpful through check-in and the rest of our stay, and his attention to detail and positive energy made it more memorable. The rooms were cozy, clean and beautifully designed with a Bedouin touch, comfortable beds and nice bedding. We had everything we needed for a relaxing night under the stars. Desert Rose Camp is a must-visit if you’re planning a trip to the desert. Amazing place and people. We left happy and will definitely return.

Even little details around the dunes made the stay feel connected to nature. We spotted desert fox pug marks and lizard trails, and a short, easy sunrise walk to the dune top brought breathtaking views. The evenings were memorable too, with traditional Omani music beneath the starry sky. We were unsure at first about vegetarian choices, but the dinner and breakfast buffets had a great variety of fresh, flavorful dishes. The staff were warm and accommodating throughout. Desert Rose Camp is nestled among golden dunes, and its beautiful setting blends comfort with the raw desert landscape. The swimming pool looked like a shimmering mirage and was a unique, refreshing experience. A lovely mix of comfort, culture and desert charm, highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Oman’s desert in a luxurious yet authentic way.

Cozy place with beautiful views all around. Dinner was delicious and the service was good. Our waiter Shakib was a super attentive, nice guy who did everything to make us feel welcome.

The camp is in a fantastic spot and has lots to do. We went quad biking and on a 4x3 drive, then watched the sunset and sunrise from the dunes. The food was tasty with a good selection, and there was music and a fire under the stars at night. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. It’s mid-range, and we had a really special stay.
