Atana Stay Al Ashkarah

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and kept trying to help guests. The flat was spacious and had a TV, good air conditioning, a mini fridge, a locker, and a dining table. But the hotel’s condition is below average for what it charges. I stayed more than 8 days, experienced three different rooms in three weeks, and thought carefully before writing this. The flats all have the same layout, the lighting is so dim you can’t see well, and the chairs were dirty and needed cleaning. The kettle was old, and I had hygiene concerns about its condition. Breakfast was the same every day and started at 7:00 AM. I didn’t like the coffee from the machine and told the hotel about it. It seemed lower quality than coffee at other hotels of the same star rating. The menu prices were far too high for the meals. I understand hotel prices, but I couldn’t accept these at a place that isn’t a 4 or 5-star hotel. The towels speak for themselves. I was excited there was a gym, but most of the equipment was rusty, some was damaged, and the gym was always dirty. I went for three days, and one piece of equipment still had date residue on it. The Wi-Fi also had connection problems at night. I’ve attached photos to show the condition. This is the best hotel we could find in the area, but it would only feel acceptable at half the price. Otherwise it’s far too expensive for what you get. I hope the owner makes an effort to improve the hotel.

Atana Stay has consistently given me a good stay and a great experience, with strong service and quality. Thanks to the team, especially Mr. Said Al Araimi and Mr. Hani, for their excellent hospitality.

The sea view was a highlight, and the BBQ pits were set up with good lighting, making a lovely spot for an evening gathering. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well designed for sharing between two people. The amenities were good too, especially the soaps. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The manager shared helpful tips about the area, which made the visit better. I wholeheartedly recommend Atana Al Ashkhara to anyone touring Oman. It’s a scenic place to stay with comfort and warm hospitality.

A great hotel with a nice room and good breakfast. The pool is cold, though, and has no heater.
