For just 30 Omani Riyals, we got a suite room that felt like good value, though there were a few minor issues and it’s not a place to expect five-star luxury. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Wadi Sharm Resort. It’s a peaceful spot among beautiful mountains, a nice break from the city and all its concrete. Mr. Sabir at reception greeted us warmly and was always ready to help. The rest of the staff were kind and friendly too. I checked in late, but they still made grilled chicken for me when I asked, which I really appreciated. Bring mosquito repellent if you visit, since the resort is surrounded by nature. It’s a lovely place for a quiet getaway without spending too much.

We’d stay here again anytime. The resort is quiet, with lovely green surroundings between the hills and lots of outdoor space to sit and enjoy. Sabir was very helpful at check-in and with our luggage. The pool is large, though I found it too cold to stay in for long. It was refreshing for a quick dip. The restaurant’s food could be fresher, especially the oil they use for frying, so we drove into Buraimi city for meals. That was a bit out of the way, but the place was still fantastic for getting away from it all.

It’s in a nice, quiet location, but the service will ruin your day. The restaurant was pathetic. The so-called chef seemed able to make only rice, daal, chicken curry, and omelette, so ordering felt like going to a local cafeteria. There were problems in the room too: the bath area, sofa, and chairs were broken, and the electric kettle was dirty and stained. If you’re still planning to visit, please bring your own food supplies.

I spent almost two weeks in a calm setting, far from the cities and their noise. I also did a 10 kms trek inside Wadi, and it was low difficulty.
