The rooms were nice, and breakfast came with a really good spread. Staff were kind and helpful too. Lovely place for a quick weekend away with family or friends. I’d definitely come back.

We were in Khasab during Ramadan and our room was ready when we arrived, so check-in went smoothly. We’d booked a mountain-facing room, but the reception staff kindly upgraded us to a sea view, which we really appreciated. The hotel is peaceful and only a few minutes from the city, with a comfortable room at a reasonable price. There’s also a nice pool deck overlooking the sea. A lovely one-day stay.

The facilities are good, but when the hotel is fully booked it seems unable to keep up. Service was extremely slow, and we had to wait a long time for our room to be ready. I wasn’t satisfied with the service at all. For what you pay, there are better options, so I wouldn’t stay here if you have other choices.

That balcony had great views, and the location is nice, but there’s no access to the sea, which should be fixed. The rooms are okay, though the equipment is dated: old TV and phone, a broken lamp, and the bathroom light in my room didn’t work. The TV was out too. They fixed those, but still. The restaurant is pretty sad, and the room service food arrived cold. Atana Musandam has no views, but it’s much nicer.

I could watch dolphins from my balcony in the mornings, and there are plenty of breakfast choices. If you have a day tour booked, your guide calls the front desk around 7:30-8:00 pm with the pickup time, then the hotel rings your room. Very easy. You can walk down a small hill to Bassa beach, with a few restaurants and a small stretch of beach that’s lovely for a morning or evening walk. The room was clean, with fast wifi, hot water and great water pressure. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and I had a very nice stay at this comfortable hotel overlooking the ocean in Khasab. One small gripe: I’m not a fan of the type D (3 round pin) outlets. I’ve never found that type on an international multi-adapter, so you usually need to buy a dedicated standalone module. This is the only place in Oman where I came across type D. Maybe it’s a Musandam thing. Kudos to the Atana Khasab, they do a very nice job!
