Hotel Danat Al Khaleej

The location makes this a handy base, close to the port, shops, and beach. Some ground-floor rooms open straight onto the beach, which could work well for families. Rooms are clean and roomy, and many have sea views and balconies. Staff were somewhat friendly and helpful. It’s a good-value choice given the limited places to stay on Masirah Island, though having a car is useful since other transport is scarce. There’s no lift, and the bathrooms feel dated. We also heard of shower flooding. Breakfast is available but basic, and the free Wi-Fi can be patchy. It’s a comfortable, convenient place for exploring the island, but don’t expect many modern amenities.

The best part is the location, with a supermarket, some restaurants, and beach access close by. The rooms are spacious and the staff helpful. The hotel itself is nice, though it could use some renovation.

Good value for a simple, clean place right on the beach, with nice views and friendly staff. It has a typical Omani hotel feel.

The sea-facing room was clean and nice, and the pergolas beside the water were really relaxing. It was pricey during Eid. Internet was difficult because 4G reception in the room was very poor. It also seemed to be the only hotel around with rooms facing the sea.
