Al Madinah Holiday Hotel

The hotel is in an industrial area, so having a car is necessary, though Oman's good roads make it easy to get around and nothing feels too far. We didn't have time to try the shaded pool. The rooms were very clean, but some issues and their outdated condition show the hotel needs updating. Assainar and Rubel did what they could to accommodate us, and their kindness and service made the stay more pleasant. The staff keep things running smoothly.

Room service could be better, especially when it comes to supplying enough towels. Still, customer service was great. Our room connected to another room, which worked well, and they were flexible enough to let us stay until 4 PM, though we ended up leaving earlier. It was a good short stay.

The staff were the standout, warm, friendly, and really helpful. They go the extra mile, so I'd give them 7 out of 5. The hotel is clean and its facilities do the job: gym, pool, sauna, restaurant, all about 3 out of 5. It's roughly midway between the airport and City Centre, though there are two city centres. The surrounding industrial area is quiet, but taxis are cheap. Use the app or ask reception to book one so you don't get ripped off.

The room is cramped, the AC and TV are old models, and the WiFi doesn't work. Think again before booking. I'm trapped. Don't be.
