The building entrance looks impressive, and that first impression gave us high expectations. Inside, though, the hotel didn’t come close. We booked after reading positive reviews, but the stay was disappointing and spoiled my brother’s birthday. He has asthma and had a serious reaction to mould and dust in the room, even with housekeeping every day. The rooms smelled bad, were very cold and old, and weren’t clean enough. The carpet was badly discoloured and visibly dirty. The curtains and decor looked dated and mismatched. The beds were comfortable, but some bedding wasn’t clean, which was concerning. The pool and its towels were dirty too. One Omani staff member was genuinely kind and professional, and tried hard to help by showing us several rooms. Some other staff were helpful as well, though a couple seemed a little unprofessional. None of the rooms he showed us met a normal standard for comfort or hygiene, so the problem seemed widespread. For a hotel that feels far from four-star, perhaps two or three, the hygiene needs a lot of work and the property desperately needs renovation. I’d be willing to pay more per night if it were properly renovated and cleanliness improved. In its current state, I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for families or people with allergies or asthma. It does have excellent potential if the owners invest in renovation.

The pool was a lovely place to relax, and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast had a nice variety and delicious dishes. Everyone at Haffa House was friendly, genuine, and helpful, and the staff made this a highlight of my trip. I had a wonderful time.

I’m a seaman, and this is one of the best hotels I’ve experienced so far. The restaurant on the ground Flor is very good, and the staff are lovely. I ordered lunch from the menu on Manesh’s recommendation and was very happy with the food. If I visit Muscat again, I’ll definitely want to stay here.

The service was pathetic, and the staff lied about hotel policies. I didn’t feel safe as a woman. There wasn’t even a toothbrush in the room, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. This is nowhere near a four-star hotel. When you complain at reception, they tell you to come back the next day, which just sends you around in a pointless loop. Worst hotel I’ve ever encountered. Don’t waste your money here.

I was there during the uae holidays and have to say the hotel was amazing. I got a suite, and it was very well maintained and hygienic. The food was good too.
