The pool was nice, the gym impressive for a hotel, and we had direct access to Al Qurum beach. Our spacious room had an incredible view and very comfortable beds, and every part of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The design and amenities were beautiful. The breakfast buffet was incredible, with new choices each day and something for every taste. Big thanks to Faisal Al Wahaibi and Chef Aladhraq. Other people from concierge, housekeeping, and security also gave fantastic service, though I don’t have their names. After staying at IGH in Qatar last year, we decided to try InterContinental in Oman. The hospitality, warmth, and friendliness of the staff were outstanding. It was a brilliant stay, and we felt at home away from home. Thank you all for making it such a great experience.

Sitting in the traditional majlis in the lobby made the whole tea visit feel calm and elegant, with a lovely sense of comfort and luxury. SAIFUL was warm and attentive from the start, and the service felt polished. The tea itself was delicious and clearly prepared with care. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable tea experience.

The pools and quiet private beach were lovely places to unwind, and the room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with a great shower and a big plush bed. The hotel has a peaceful feel, and its decor brings in Omani craftsmanship beautifully. What really made our stay was the staff. Everyone was kind and helpful from check-in, and the restaurant team looked after us well at breakfast and dinner. There was a great choice of local and international dishes, and the Scottish Chef we met was especially hospitable. The food was top-notch. We stayed at the InterContinental Muscat by IHG in Dec 2025, and it surpassed what we expected. The team handled our needs promptly, and all the little details in the room were well considered. We were sorry to leave and are already planning to come back. We’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Oman for a mix of comfort, luxury, and Omani character.

As a diamond elite member, we got an upgrade to a top-level room with a lovely sunset view. I also made good use of the large, well-equipped gym and sauna, and the room itself was comfortable. The club lounge team made the stay especially pleasant. Melissa, Marian and Akash were personable and provided great service, and we enjoyed the cocktail selection.

The grounds are lovely, with lots of sun beds, and there are two pools, including one for laps. The beach is public, so there aren’t loungers there, but it’s nice for walks. Inside, the rooms are very clean and the beds are delightful, and the staff are friendly. Best of all was the food. Austin Reed, a Glaswegian chef, made the most delicious hotel food I’ve ever had. One evening I had two small main courses, which is unheard of, and there wasn’t a french fry in sight. Well done, Mr Reed. Fabulous hotel.
