From our room we had a great view of the port, and the service was good. Breakfast was decent and practical, and the rooms, though basic, were clean. The bathroom could use a floor mat and better toiletries. It's listed as a 2-star hotel, but we paid about what a 4-star hotel in almouj costs. Setting price aside, it does very well for a 2-star place. It's close to the souq, fort, and Mutrah eateries. I'd recommend it if you want to stay in Mutrah, though a day there is enough.

We had no big expectations and ended up enjoying our two nights. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is hard to beat. Oddly enough, the breakfast samosa was one of the best we've ever had.

The rooms feel a bit worn and could use refurbishing, which is a shame given the great town location near the corniche. The same establishment also has Anna Cafe, which is highly recommended, modern, and clean, with excellent breakfasts for hotel guests. The best fish restaurant in Muscat is only about a 5-minute walk away, with outdoor seating and excellent food, next to the expensive Bait de Lubain restaurant.

We felt right in the middle of the city, and the location made it easy to go for walks and dinner every night. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the lady, who answered lots of our questions and made us feel comfortable. Our room was great, with a spacious bathroom and a nice view of some mountains, the fish market, and even the sea.
