The Chedi Muscat Hotel

The concierge team helped make our visit special. One of the Les Clefs d’Or concierges, who held two keys, gave us exceptional attention, and we’re grateful for it. We enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and well maintained, and the comfort and service were of a high standard. Staff were consistently welcoming, attentive, and professional. Breakfast had lots of choices for different tastes, though we thought the flavor could be a little better to match the hotel’s level. We’d recommend the hotel and would gladly come back.

Turkish House Restaurant was an excellent dinner recommendation from the big guy at the front desk. The airport taxi ride there and back was quick and not expensive. I stayed here in September 2025. The staff were excellent, and my clean, well-kept room looked out over the pool and beach. The pool was nice, and the gym was really good, with a sauna, steam room, and decent showers. A great stay.

A concern from my stay was the way one restaurant employee treated guests. I’d rather not name her, but she spoke aggressively, raised her voice, and came across as unprofessional. Her communication and customer service were poor, and she made people feel as if they were being questioned or suspected of being in the restaurant without permission. This morning, in front of guests, she threw several forks and knives onto a table with a loud, disturbing clatter. That behavior reflects badly on the hotel. I hope management reviews how staff are selected, trained, and supervised. Some employees also seem not to take their work seriously or welcome visitors respectfully, which could put guests off returning. The food menu changed very little from day to day. For someone staying a full week, more choice and a better dining experience would be welcome. I hope these comments are considered so the hotel can maintain its reputation and standards. There were also many good things. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and comfortable, with excellent breakfast variety, high-quality food, and outstanding cleanliness. Most staff were professional and made the experience special. The pool was clean and lovely for families and children, and the security team was attentive to guests’ safety and comfort. Remple deserves special praise. He was polite, respectful, professional, patient, and calm when handling situations. He interacted thoughtfully with visitors and represented the hotel so well that, if I owned a hospitality business, I’d put him in a management role. Simon and Dennis were also exceptionally courteous, friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Their kindness and commitment to guests made my stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

We’ve just come back from nine days at Chedi, and it was one of our best trips. Every staff member looked after us and helped make the stay memorable, though I can’t recall everyone’s name. A big thank you to Deepak Sharma and the team: Rimple, Sahil, Nitin, Kevin, Pandiya by the pool, Akilesh, Sonia, Baia, Anton, and Shady.
