Nuzha Hotel Apartments

This place was a huge mistake for quarantine. I booked it because of the budget, but it wasn't worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it. The rooms were just okay, and I wouldn't expect them to be very clean. Service was extremely poor, and the internet terribly slow. I raised the issues with reception several times, but got the attitude that I should take it or leave it because that's how things are there. Please choose somewhere else for travel or quarantine in Muscat.

This is about the 3-bed apartment. The staff were nice, and the beds were fine. They provided clean towels and bathroom items like shampoo, soap, and a toothbrush, but guests aren't allowed to wash dirty dishes. The apartment has one washroom in a bedroom and one common washroom, and there's no gym. Insects were in both the rooms and the washroom. The stove was useless: it took me 40 minutes to half-fry an egg in the morning. The washing machine is manual.

Really bad experience. We gave them the key so housekeeping could clean, but when we got back, the room was just as we'd left it. At checkout, we asked for the bill and staff said we'd already paid one night in advance, weren't staying the second night of our two-night booking, and only needed to pay for the lunch we'd had. We settled up and left. Now they're calling to say we booked two nights and have to pay for both, claiming it was a mistake by a new staff member. They're pressuring me to pay for the night I didn't spend there and saying they'll charge it to my credit card. Zero stars.

We stayed for three nights after driving from the UAE. Since it was our first trip to Oman, we weren't sure what time we'd arrive, so I messaged to ask about an early check-in. They said it was fine, and we arrived before noon. Mr. Khalid Al Malki checked us in smoothly and kindly shared information about roads around Muscat and some tourist spots. The room was spacious and comfortable for the two of us, with a small kitchen, a bath and shower with a tub, a huge bed, a nice dresser, and a couch. It was clean, though not spotless, since the property seems a bit old and maintenance doesn't look very up to date. The soap and shampoo didn't smell nice, and I hope they change them for future guests. We'd like to return to Muscat and stay at the same property. Thanks again to the Nuzha Team for treating us well.
