OYO 117 Majestic Hotel

We used Majestic Hotel to accommodate our Dubai staff, and the price was fair. It’s nearby and cheap but good, so I’d recommend it for a weekly stay. The architecture is grand and the interiors are opulent. Rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished, with breathtaking city skyline views. Staff are very attentive, and amenities like the rooftop pool and fine dining restaurant make the stay feel luxurious. A top-notch choice for business or leisure if you want comfort and sophistication. Can’t wait to come back!

The rooms were clean and good, it’s budget friendly, and it’s well located for places you’ll visit in Muscat. The morning receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Restaurants are 200 meters away. But the Wi-Fi is very poor, so don’t book if reliable Wi-Fi is your main need. At night, one staff member from Bangladesh, I think, wasn’t helpful. The parking in front was full, and when I asked where to park he just said to park somewhere nearby. I asked if there was parking behind the hotel, but he didn’t even check and told me to see if I could find any.

The place was clean and good, and comparatively cheap next to nearby hotels. I chose it for quarantine, and everything else was fine, but there was no Wi-Fi connection. They have lots of Wi-Fi modems and advertise free Wi-Fi all over the hotel. On my first day, though, the notice already said “no wifi today.” Advertising it to get customers when there’s no connection feels like cheating. There’s no phone in the room to contact the host, either, so for anything you need, you have to go down to the ground floor reception.

The worst hotel I’ve seen. It’d be simple to upgrade the place, but it seems business is all that matters. In this condition, I wouldn’t come back for another stay.
