Plaza Hotel is a decent budget stay in Ruwi. The rooms are plain but clean, with air conditioning, a fridge and free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi worked reasonably well, and there’s parking, which is handy around here. Staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s about 1.3 km from Ruwi Bus Station, an easy walk or a short taxi ride, especially useful if you’re arriving by bus. Breakfast and kettles aren’t provided, but there are several nearby restaurants, particularly Indian and Pakistani ones. For a no-frills, convenient place in Muscat on a budget, it’s a good option.

Right in the heart of Muscat, and a great pick if you’re travelling alone. The rooms are clean and quiet. Location and price both get 5/5 from me.

I stayed at this hotel for over six years and everything was good. The room was nice, the bed was just right, and it was cleaned every day. Breakfast was good too. Thanks to all the staff who looked after me during my stay.

Plaza Hotel is a decent budget option in Ruwi, with friendly staff and reasonably sized rooms. I spent three nights in a Deluxe double room and one in a single. The rooms were narrow. Wi-Fi was decent, and the hotel is 1.4 km from Ruwi bus station. If you can walk that far, you can get to Plaza Hotel from Muscat airport for 1 OMR. There are restaurants nearby, but breakfast isn’t included. Larger rooms have a kettle; the single room doesn’t. You only get one water bottle per booking, not one each day. Deluxe double occupancy costs more, though nothing extra is provided for the second person, such as breakfast or water. The hotel was largely empty, but no late checkout or upgrade was offered. I’d look for a better or cheaper place if you can find one. If not, this is a reasonable budget choice.

The rooms were very clean, service was good, and they gave me early check-in at no extra cost. Parking is available right in front, and you can walk there from Ruwi Bus Terminal. It’s the cheapest accommodation in Ruwi. Indian owned.
