The hotpot was the standout, with fresh ingredients and a deep, fiery broth. We also loved the peanut sesame dipping sauce, spicy shredded potatoes, and garlic broccoli. The food is genuinely authentic Chinese cooking, full of rich flavors and comforting dishes. China Restaurant at Wave View Hotel is a bit hidden, just in front of the Al Mouj compound and behind the petrol station. It looks quiet, but the food is outstanding. A great option in Muscat if you want Chinese food away from the usual crowded places, especially if you love spicy food like we do.

The staff are courteous and helpful. It’s a convenient spot near the airport and for going to Al Mouj, where we go regularly.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and for the price the stay was okay. We paid 20-25 Omani riyals for a last-minute booking, so we didn’t expect much. The hotel is Chinese-run and designed, which we liked. The room only had two small water bottles, no body lotion, and hangers instead of cupboards. I didn’t get hot water in the bathroom even though I was told to switch on the heater 15 minutes beforehand, which wasn’t convenient. Breakfast was Chinese and very cold, so we hardly ate. The entrance road wasn’t asphalted, which made getting in less convenient. I wouldn’t stay again.

The room was comfortable and nice, and the price felt right. The staff were incredibly kind and helped with every request. Well-deserved five stars!

Nice stay, fully recommended. I’m curious how they noticed on the computer, while we were at reception checking out, that we’d left something in the room. They asked us to wait, and then immediately found out. I’d love someone to explain how they knew so quickly.
