There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby, with Grand Muscat mall, Avenues mall and Lulu all within walking distance. The rooms were neat, clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and cooperative. I stayed a week, but two problems never got resolved: the TV only had Arabic channels, so there’s no point switching it on if you don’t understand Arabic, and after 10pm neither reception nor room service answered their numbers.

The management treated me really well and were friendly. I was under a lot of stress because of some problems, and the hotel personnel helped me deal with everything. The amenities and services are more like a 3-star hotel, with no tennis court or swimming pool, but the management gave me 5-star treatment. Awesome help.

The location is quiet, with less traffic, and there are restaurants, supermarkets and cafes nearby. But room service wasn’t good, they didn’t provide drinking water, and customer service was very poor.

Service was good, though the breakfast was very average and nothing remarkable. The bed was comfortable, but the room was on the small side and the bathroom tiny. The sea-facing rooms have a great view, and there’s a swimming pool on the 5th floor. A little pricey for what you get.

The smell hits you as soon as you enter. Things felt sticky and dirty everywhere, from the room to the dining area. I had to cut my visit short and move to another hotel. Not sure what others have posted, but my experience was really bad.
