We had a lovely stay, with beds that were fantastic and a wonderful mountain view from our room. The hotel is also a handy starting point for walking path 18b, and there are plenty of restaurants within a 10-minute walk. We arrived early and Hani and his reception colleague helped us check in ahead of time. Hani kept checking that we had what we needed, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel café was fantastic too. Breakfast was good, and the simple lunch menu was delicious.

The price is about a quarter of what some nearby hotels charge, and I’ve visited those other places without rating them here. At Sama, you get friendly service, good food, nice rooms, and a pool for that price. I don’t usually leave hotel reviews, but this felt worth mentioning. Don’t miss the stop at Peaks Cafe in the hotel.

The staff’s courtesy and professionalism made my stay at the Sama Hotel especially memorable. The place itself was magnificent, and I’m grateful to all the employees, particularly the head chef, Amir. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

The hill-facing rooms are awesome, with a lovely view of the sunset and the whole valley. I’d vote this the best spot on Jabal Akhdar. Mr. Harry, the desk manager, went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied, and the staff were very helpful. They made our stay memorable.

We loved the chalet, food, and ambience, and the view of Jabal Akhdar is the best. It’s a fantastic, friendly hotel, and we’ll definitely be back. Also, don’t miss meeting Mr Zohair from ‘Fifth Direction’. We call him ‘The ShahRukh Khan’ of Jabal Akhdar, and make sure to book a sightseeing trip with his company.
