The owner's mother took us on a three-hour hands-on tour of the coffee plantation, showing us all the steps in making coffee. That was a huge bonus. We stayed three nights in the area above Boquete at this family-run bed and breakfast, and the hosts treated us like family. We felt right at home, and as professional chefs, they made top-notch meals. Just know the road there is narrow and winding, so it's better to drive in daylight or take a taxi. Highly recommended!

Meals were a highlight, from breakfast through dinner, and the lunch packs gave us a real boost during our hikes. Lorraine made the stay feel like being with family. She was always available, spoke fluent English and very good French, and sorted out taxi bookings and our entry permits for Volcan Baru National Park. We were four people without a car, but getting there by taxi was easy with the contacts she shared. After hiking the Quetzal Trail, we even got back on the local bus. The bungalows were spotless, peaceful, and close to nature, with magnificent views; the dogs and cats around the lodge made it feel even more homey. It's a beautiful place to disconnect in Boquete. One tip, don't try to reach them by email, it can be difficult. WhatsApp got us quick answers to all our questions.

The hostess is SUCH a kind, accommodating person, and you can tell she loves what she does. She speaks English, Spanish, and French, and she and her husband are excellent cooks. The views of Volcán Barú are lovely, and if we lived nearby we'd eat here almost every day. There's a coffee tour too, and plenty of games in the common area that you can take back to your room.

Marilyn and Lorraine were wonderful hosts, full of information about the region, why things are the way they are in Panama, and what to do nearby. They were quick to answer questions and help find guides and rides, and they could pack lunches or breakfasts to take along. We loved the fantastic food, rooms, grounds, coffee farm, and beautiful location. Such a great place!

We did the coffee tour and got to make our own coffee, which was a great experience. The mountain setting is incredible, the food is really tasty, and the hosts are so warm and friendly. We stayed two nights at eco horqueta and loved everything. Highly recommend it.
