Spanish by the River - Boquete - Hostel

The hostel's peaceful setting was lovely, with hummingbirds around, and the other guests made for a really nice atmosphere. We spent a week there last January and took Spanish classes with Massiel and Jenny. We improved a lot, and afternoon activities and trips around the region gave us a chance to practice. The staff were welcoming too. I had wondered if being outside Boquete's center would be inconvenient, but the bus was quick, easy, and cheap. The location and quiet were well worth it.

I found this school by chance after living around Boquete for a while and deciding to study Spanish. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and my teacher is delightful. She adapts the lessons to what I need. There's a garden space with hammocks, tables, chairs, and a kitchen, which makes it a nice place to spend time between classes. They sometimes have potlucks too, a fun way to meet people and swap stories about the area. Worth checking out for classes, a hostel stay, or both.

The manager is friendly and really helpful, and the hostel is clean. There's a well-equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee, plus a garden with hammocks. Spanish by the river is a nice budget place to stay, about 5 km from Boquete center. The local bus takes around 10 minutes and costs 0.60 cents. There's a shop on the corner open until 8 pm.

Ricardo, the manager, is incredibly friendly and helpful. His lovable rescue dog will definitely be hoping for ear scratches and belly rubs, and the hostel chickens leave fresh eggs guests can take for free. It's a cozy, beautiful place, just a quick cab ride from Central Boquete.
