The location is handy, with bars and restaurants in lower Boquete easy to reach and the other half of town not too much of a slog up the hill. The generous cancellation policy was the best part. Our room was basic, with a good hot shower, but getting to it meant dealing with a crazy spiral staircase and catwalk. The bed was uncomfortable. It was otherwise quiet, except for something on a nearby roof banging in the wind all night, which I do partly blame on the hostal. Generally, it felt overpriced for what you get.

Those memory foam pillows were awesome, especially compared with the usual hard, flat, nasty hotel ones. The staff were friendly, and the place is right by the river with outdoor seating. Everything is within walking distance. Love it there.

It’s good value and the location is excellent, right by the river. The place is very basic, with no shampoo or soap provided. The kitchen needs attention, especially the fridge, and some sheets had makeup stains.
