The oceanfront restaurant is good, and the street-facing bar is a nice place to meet expats and locals. Some nights you can hear the neighboring disco, though they do provide earplugs. For the price, I thought it was a great deal, and the service was really friendly and helpful. They booked a massage and a couple of taxis for me with a smile.

The location is amazing, and the front desk staff were so nice. They helped us arrange water taxis, and there’s free breakfast, beach towels, and a station to refill water bottles. The room is big and has Wi-Fi, but it could use some attention: the shower and Wi-Fi were weak, the bed was just okay, and the pillows need replacing.

We had the top-floor room with a balcony, but the nightclub noise on Sunday was unbearable and went on until 3:30 a.m. The earplugs left beside the bed should have been a clue. This room wasn’t cheap, and for the price it absolutely wasn’t worth it. Unless you’re planning to party, don’t stay here.

The staff are what make this place a five-star stay. Everyone was wonderful, helpful, and accommodating, especially all the ladies at the front desk. The rooms are decent, and the location is great.

The location is good, but the hotel felt loud, smelly, dated, and far too expensive. The rooms were dingy, with old linens and fixtures, cracked tiles, and moldy shower curtains. It didn’t seem to have been properly deep cleaned in years. There was little to offer in the way of amenities, the internet was slow, and we had no hot water. The restaurant service was lax, the food was poor, and the prices were very high. Earplugs seemed to be the only amenity provided for the noise.
