Panama House Bed & Breakfast

Everything was so clean, and the service was great. We couldn't check in until 4am, but she was really accommodating. The birds and kitten were a great surprise.

I felt really looked after at Panama House Bed and Breakfast. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and flexible, and the family-run place had a cozy, home-like feel.

The main issue was noise late at night. There were no quiet hours posted or enforced, and after a 14-hour travel day I was exhausted but couldn’t sleep in my private room because people were partying and playing ping pong in the common area right outside. The pet birds will wake you in the morning, which wouldn’t have bothered me as much if people hadn’t been making noise until midnight. On the plus side, the place was set back from the street noise. Panama House B&B was a friendly, homey place for a couple of nights before I went on to other parts of the country. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and accommodating. There was plenty of common space and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking or storing food. It was mostly clean. Breakfast was simple but good, especially the fresh juice, and heartier choices were available for a small extra charge. My room was small but had lots of shelving and storage, nightstands, and a fairly large bathroom with a hot shower. I’d recommend it for the price. You can’t beat the value.

I loved my stay in the six-bed dorm, which cost just under $11 a night. The place was quiet and friendly, and you can tell they’ve put a lot into making it nice and keeping it that way. There’s a good shared kitchen and a big backyard with an eating area. I’ll definitely be back.
