It’s in a great spot, near the beach and shopping centres, and the surroundings are peaceful. The restaurant is convenient and serves fresh food. Staff are friendly and well trained. There are different kinds of units to choose from, each with air conditioning, and the rooms and bathrooms are kept neat and very clean.

The grounds were clean and looked great, with colors that gave the place a cheerful feel. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s pet friendly. We went for a friend’s birthday and spent time at the beach before enjoying the swimming pool. The food could use work: I got hard, cold corn tortilla, along with hard rice and cassava.

Fernando, the on-site Manager, was wonderful and really helpful. The grounds were lovely, and the pool was quiet while we were there. But it wasn’t beachfront as advertised on Booking.com, and it didn’t feel like a B&B. There was no coffee in the room or on-site, and we couldn’t get hot water for showers. The beds were badly worn and uncomfortable, so neither of us slept well.

The Panamanian style and colors of the current homes look beautiful among the trees, and the setting feels calming. Some parts are still being built, though the plans for more housing are moving along quickly. I’m excited to see the finished place and perhaps enjoy the restful, healing atmosphere Las Catalinas could offer. What a lovely setting.

Yuri was a great host, friendly and quick to help, and the breakfasts were great too. The beach is only about a two-minute walk away. The place has a ranch-like feel, with lots of seating inside and out, and there are some good restaurants nearby.
