A fun, unexpected find on the island. We only ate here, but this restaurant ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, maybe partly because there aren’t many places to choose from. The drinks are good too, and they serve some unusual German dishes.

We were able to check in early and check out late, and they picked us up from the ferry. The staff were so kind and looked after us well. Our room was better than it looked in the photos, and the covered rooftop with its small pool was a lovely place to spend time. It’s close to two public beaches and a couple of mini-markets. A fantastic budget option.

We had dinner here, just across the street from our rental. The pasta portions were generous, though there weren’t many vegetarian choices beyond pasta and salad. The strudel filling was good, but the pastry was tough.

We felt like we were saying goodbye to friends by the end of the week. The owner and workers were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the food was amazing too. The location is great: about a five-minute walk to playa largo, and roughly 10-15 minutes to most of the island’s other public beaches.
