Hotel Puerta del Sol

The restaurant was excellent. I liked the hotel's authentic feel, cleanliness, and class, and the price was reasonable. I'd stay here again.

The location is right by the park and stores, which makes it a good place to stay if you want to shop. The service is really good, and they make sure you're looked after. I just wish the toilet paper were better, it's so thin it's almost transparent. My card stopped working on the door a couple of times, which was frustrating. I think the key cards are sensitive to other electronics, so keep them away from phones, car keys, metal, and similar things.

The evening restaurant staff are great, and Amado is excellent and very friendly. They have an ejecutivo lunch menu, and the prices are fair. It's a good choice if you need to be downtown for quick access to the airport or another reason, at a reasonable price. I've stayed here several times and will keep doing so. Just allow extra time at checkout, since someone has to inspect the room and it can get busy. I'll continue staying here when I'm in David.

The staff were the best part, always kind, helpful, and ready to do anything they could. The rooms and bathrooms aren't very new, but they're spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of good options, and it's a 15-minute walk from the David bus terminal. Definitely good value for money.
