The pool has different depths, there's a rancho for shelter from sun or rain, and a short staircase leads down to a Pacific beach with warm water and gentle waves. There's also a small spa beside the pool. Casa Guardia feels like a lovely little escape from the usual resort routine, and guests are welcomed warmly. It's a short walk along the beach from the Decameron Resort in Farrallon. My wife is Panamanian, and we visit Panama at least once a year. Since our house is 30 minutes from Casa Guardia, we always find time to stay with our friends there. The service is superb, which stands out in a country where we've found many hospitality places lack that instinct. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all available, with good food and good service. We just spent two nights in Casco Viejo with some of our kids at a prominent hotel I'll leave unnamed. It cost three times what we paid for three nights at Casa Guardia, yet the staff there were indifferent, poorly trained, and completely clueless. The contrast with Casa Guardia was infuriating. We'll keep staying at Casa Guardia and won't return to that Casco hotel. Readers, do yourself and your family a favour and book Casa Guardia.

We came back after nine years and Casa Guardia still feels like our home away from home. We felt like part of the Guardia family. Tony and Ricky are the kindest, most accommodating hosts we've had anywhere, and we had lots of fun conversations with them. We stayed in an ocean-view room, which I'd recommend. The pool and cabana are just steps away, and the beach is only a few steps beyond. That's where we spent most of our time. We ate at El Rincon De Los Tios on the ground floor most nights, and the food was incredible. If you're lucky, Ricky and Tony might also play live music. They're both talented musicians. I can't remember all the staff names, but I do remember Luis and his restaurant team, along with Osama and the hotel staff. They'll take care of what you need or find someone who can. Casa Guardia is a unique boutique hotel and our go-to place in Panama. The only part missing from this visit was Karin. We really miss her. May she rest in peace. John and Staci

We were there for two nights at the start of October 2025, and had the whole place to ourselves. It was heaven, and we had a wonderfully relaxing time. The setting is idyllic, across from farallon island and beside the decameron resort and some private properties. There's lots of space, but it doesn't feel like you're stranded in the middle of nowhere. Tony, the owner, and the staff were attentive and ready to help. He arranged a small boat trip to the island, which was a lovely surprise. We got close to nature and saw pelicans and other birds in their natural habitat. We also came across fishermen working in open water during the rain. It was awesome, and Marco, the boat man, was really nice. We'll definitely be back. And Tony's rendition of HOTEL CALIFORNIA was great!

The owner and his father were a delight, and the food was excellent. I got a great GF meal. Friends had the Alfredo and said it was the best they'd ever had, though I'll have to take their word for it since it wasn't GF. We'll be back.

We stayed four nights and loved how peaceful and quiet it was. If you're after total relaxation, this is the place. There was occasional live music at the restaurant, which we enjoyed. Mr Tony and Mr Rick are fantastic hosts. Definitely recommend.
