The Lodge at Punta Rica

The owners made our stay so much fun and took great care of us, from local tips to really good meals. They hire friendly local staff, and the place has a big family feel. The rooms are beautiful, and it’s easy to explore the islands by boat or stay put and relax by the lovely pool with a drink. It was LGBTQ friendly, too. My partner and I had the best time and will be back.

Daniel and Brian made our stay unforgettable. They put guests first, cooked a fantastic dinner, and were happy to arrange activities whenever we wanted to join something. We especially liked the shared dinners and the good conversations around them. Their dog Macho was a great guide, helping us find monkeys on the island in exchange for a few belly rubs. The Lodge at Punta Rica was our favorite accommodation in Panama. It’s surrounded by jungle, plants, animals, and water, and we loved its environmentally friendly setup with solar electricity and filtered rainwater. The rooms and common areas are tastefully designed. Thanks again, Daniel and Brian!

The thoughtful, tasteful decor and welcome made the Lodge feel special, while it still runs off grid on solar power and feels ecological. What really brings the place to life, though, is how generous and gracious the hosts are. Thanks so much for everything, Daniel and Brian!

The Lodge was such a peaceful place to come back to after exploring. The location felt safe and central, and worked well for discovering Panama’s city life, culture, and nature. Meals were excellent, with plenty of fresh, high-quality choices, and Daniel really was a perfect chef. The rooms are modern, spotless, and carefully designed, with very comfortable beds. From arrival, the staff were friendly, attentive, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The stay exceeded our expectations, and we’d happily return. A real highlight of our trip.
