Alaya Yoga & Surf & Retreat

The yoga shala in the big dome feels really special, and the classes, massages, and other sessions were perfect for some self-care. The staff are kind and wonderful. We also loved relaxing by the pool and bar with family and friends. The rooms feel straight out of a fairytale, the views are stunning, and there are so many delicious dishes at the restaurant. Such a magical place, and one of my favourites.

Sol, Seb, and the whole crew were so friendly and accommodating. The property has incredible jungle and ocean views, and the whole place has a magical feel. I took an invigorating yoga class, then had a delicious breakfast at Alaya. Absolutely stunning centre. I’d recommend staying here without hesitation.

The drive to this part of the country was enjoyable, with the roads to Venao newly paved. Once we arrived, the team at Alaya was attentive and seemed to anticipate what we needed throughout our stay. My friend and I had booked a long girls’ weekend to unwind, and the experience went well beyond what we expected. The meals were the best we had in Panama, the massages were amazing, and the yoga was excellent. Our rooms in the domes were very comfortable, and the shower was pure bliss. For a unique, affordable wellness getaway, Alaya is a lovely choice. We’ll be back.
