I hardly ever post reviews, but this stay was bad enough that I feel I should warn people. We booked two rooms for my family and me. I checked in around 2 pm and was checking out again by about 2:30. The first thing that happened was the desk gave us a key to someone else's room. We walked straight in on another couple. It was horrifying for all of us, and the front desk just shrugged it off with an “oh well.” Both rooms had windows cracked from wall to wall, and there were blood stains on the sheets too. The desk did apologize, but there was only so much we could overlook. Getting reimbursed turned into a fight. Agoda charged my card, and its app wasn't much help either. Later, I saw other reviews describing similar problems, so people can check those too if they think I'm making this up. I've written a review maybe three times in my life. A company has to be that great or that awful for me to spend the time. Management needs to fix these issues right away. No one deserves this treatment, no matter how good the deal is. Consider this a warning.

The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well without being loud. The room itself needed attention, though: stains on the bed covers and curtains, dirty bathroom grout, a broken safe, and a toilet handle you had to jiggle to stop the water running. Avenida Argentina is a great location in Panama City, though it feels more local than touristy. Staff were polite and helpful, but communicating in English meant using a phone.

Three days into the trip and my room still hadn't been cleaned once. Housekeeping comes around 9:30 or 10 in the morning to take the towels, then doesn't bring any back. I've had to call the front desk two or three times just to get towels. Worst housekeeping I've ever experienced.

The location and price were good, but I felt completely scammed by what was advertised. I couldn't use the shuttle, and the staff weren't multilingual as the website claimed. The continental breakfast costs extra for anything, and staff would look right at me, shrug, and walk away. The room was so unclean that I'd rather clean it myself. I came back once to find the employees who were meant to clean it had plugged their personal phones into my chargers. They hadn't asked or apologized. Professionalism was maybe 15 percent, if I'm being honest. If your Spanish isn't strong, I'd highly recommend an American hotel where you can understand people and get the services that were advertised.

A really affordable choice right in the middle of downtown Panamá, in one of its best, most colorful neighborhoods. Loved it!
