The relaxed, green lounge at the back was lovely, and the place is nicely decorated. Breakfast was a proper meal, not just toast and coffee, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. It’s a great middle ground if you want something nicer than a standard hostel without paying five-star hotel prices. One of the best bed and breakfast places I’ve stayed at, and I’ll definitely return.

The owners were warm and easy to deal with, and I felt safe both inside and walking to nearby restaurants. For $30, I’d give it about 4.5 stars. It’s a house in a residential area that’s been turned into a hotel, so everything works, but nothing feels fancy. The rooms are small, with Wi-Fi, a TV, and a private bathroom. Breakfast is just okay, though it’s included and made between 8 and 10. When we stayed, one of the guys spoke English pretty well and another understood some.

The rooms are tiny, and we still haven’t worked out how to get hot water. Even so, it’s a lovely deal for the money in a fairly safe neighborhood. The owners are kind and very helpful, so budget travelers may find it a good choice.

The place we were assigned was the run-down youth hostel next door, called 'Pacific Dreams', after we booked this hotel. It felt like a nightmare, with someone trying to pass off a shabby hostel as a B&B. The rooms were dark and filthy, the kitchen was in no decent condition, and I wouldn’t advise opening the refrigerator. The supposed garden wasn’t even fit as a decent dog run. To me, this place deserves no stars, though the posting system required at least one. Avoid booking here.
