Jorge was the most helpful host we've had in years of using vacation rentals and B&Bs. He knows the area and Panama well and was always happy to help. We were right on the beach, and our well-equipped bedroom and ensuite bathroom had air conditioning, though we only ran it briefly before bed. He also made us a great $7 breakfast each of the five mornings. Despite its name, this is really a vacation rental where breakfast is optional.

Jorge Constante's generosity and warmth made the stay. The place does have some cosmetic maintenance that seems overdue, but nothing interfered with enjoying it. The location is the best in the whole area.

We'd messaged John around 7 pm because we wanted somewhere to stay for the night and avoid traffic. He said he had a room for me and two others. When we got there, we asked if we could sit outside for a while since it was still early, and he showed us a spot. We were just sitting and playing music quietly from our phone when, at 10 pm, John came over and told us to leave. He gave no explanation beyond saying he didn't feel comfortable with us. We had paid in advance and been respectful, but apparently made him feel “unsafe” for some reason. By 11 pm we were out on the street, after thinking we'd found a place to sleep. It was pretty clear to us that only “white people” make this man feel safe. Consider staying somewhere else in the area.

It was closed, and there was no way to get in.
