We ended up here as the accommodation on a Cusco to Machu Picchu tour booked through "Grupo Peru." The room smelled of paint, and there was a red stain on the floor that we couldn’t tell was paint or something else. There was no hot water for a shower or breakfast. At 9:00 AM, when we went to ask about breakfast, the woman in charge was asleep. It was awful.
The room was horrible: it faced a garbage dump, had no privacy, and the bathroom was full of mosquitoes. There was only one outlet, where the TV was plugged in, and none in the bathroom. The place feels half-built, with no windows and unfinished areas. All they provide is soap, apparently calling that hygiene products. They don’t accept any kind of credit card and charge in advance. Between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM, they charged me three times. They wanted dollars, then gave change in soles; paying in soles would have cost me about $20 more. This place is a mess. Don’t go!
Just one night here while passing through on my way to Machu Picchu. Clean and tidy, with a good breakfast.
The rooms are very small. Apart from that, everything was fine, though there’s nothing in particular to call out.
It gets the job done, but the service is terrible. The place feels very neglected and damp, and the value for the price is something to think about.
