The hotel is tucked away on a quiet back street behind the main through fare. Everyone we met, at least four staff members, was kind, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was solid, especially the exceptional bread and carafe of cocoa sin leche, Peruvian hot chocolate. I couldn't get enough. The place was clean and the staff were excellent, but be ready for stairs: I climbed 50 steps to my sixth-floor room. The shower temperature kept swinging between hot and cold, so it felt like a roller coaster.

There’s no elevator, and the breakfast buffet was decent. The room was spacious, with an average-sized bathroom. We had trouble getting hot water after dinner, probably because several people were showering at once, but at other times there were no issues. Recommended.
