Andino Classic

For what I needed, the small room was adequate and fairly priced. The lobby and room were clean, there was free wifi, and I could get a hot shower, which felt especially good after three days of hiking without one. It's a basic place, nothing fancy. I had a single room.

The beds were comfy, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The receptionist was really friendly. The shower took a while to warm up and didn't stay hot for long, and breakfast wasn't as good or as much as I'd expect from a hotel. The hotel itself is okay, though it seems past its best. We went with an agency for Machu Picchu and had no daylight window in the room, only one that looked into the floor.

It was clean and there was hot water, so the place was okay to stay in. But privacy and quiet were a problem. The walls are thin, and you can hear people talking downstairs, in other rooms, and outside. There's a window above each room door; when someone walks through the hall and the light comes on, it shines into the room.

Don't book here. I reserved for seven people, but they gave me four twin beds and refused to provide another room. They were so disorganized that they tried to make it seem like my fault. I had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. There are many better options in town, so don't let this place ruin your vacation.
