For what it costs, I think there are better places to stay. The internet was terrible, even though the hotel is close to the train station. I’ve stayed at hotels a little farther up where the connection was 10/10. The treatment here was awful, too. They make you do work that staff should be handling, and the supposed free breakfast is a lie: you pay for it XD. I’d ask friends for recommendations instead.

We were able to leave our bags there after checkout while we walked around the city, which was handy. The place felt cozy and comfortable, and the location was good. Highly recommend.

Room number 4 had the best river view, and the hot shower was amazing. The beds were clean and comfortable, and for just $30 I thought it was a great deal. It was quiet apart from the river 😜, with the local MERCADO right nearby, the bus stop to Mucho Picchu close by, and the train station a minute away. After 25 years of travel across more than 65 countries, my advice is never to book a hostel online or through an agency. Go in person, look at a few places and their rooms and toilets, then bargain over the price. I feel lucky I found this one.

We’ve come back for more than one stay, and the friendly, helpful staff have always made it a lovely place to be. It’s clean, with beautiful views of the river and mountains, and the price is very affordable and competitive.

You can reach ATMs, restaurants, and pretty much everything nearby, and you won’t have to haul your bags up hills. The walk has a bit of a downhill stretch. The room was very clean, and both hot and cold water worked perfectly. The river right across from the hotel makes the setting more relaxing, with lovely morning views of the mountains and water. They were always reachable by WhatsApp. I definitely recommend it if you want to be close to everything. 10/10.
