The breakfast was delicious, and the staff also shared tips and suggestions for visiting Machu Picchu. They were kind and even offered to pick us up at the train station. Our clean, comfortable room was in a well-kept hotel, with fair prices and a convenient spot near the tourist areas in Aguascalientes.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, so for the price it was fine. Just keep the schedule in mind: breakfast ends at 8:00 and checkout is 9:00 AM. That works if you're up early for MP, but it's rough if you'd hoped to sleep after a 12-hour day. The walls are thin and the WiFi is bad, though that seems normal at this price.

The TV wasn't working and looked like it was almost coming loose from the ceiling. Breakfast was poor, too. Still, this is a new hotel in a quiet spot in the center, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a city map and all the information we needed, and can pack breakfast to go for early trips to Machu Picchu.

We booked a triple room, but were given a room with just two single beds. The receptionist spent about ten minutes insisting that two beds for three people was normal. Only when I showed her the confirmation for 3 SINGLE BEDS did she admit they didn't have a triple room for us. We got our money back and went elsewhere. Honestly, we were glad to leave: the place felt terribly damp, and the owners' kids were super noisy.

The WiFi gave us a bit of trouble at first, but it sorted itself out. The staff were really helpful with directions around town and gave us a map. Our double room was very clean and comfortable for a hostel, and everyone was very nice.
