There was plenty of room to hang out, with books to read, a guitar to play, and lots of seating. Breakfast is included, and it’s a good spot to unwind after hikes or spend time with other guests. Clara made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. She’s a great cook and takes wonderful care of her guests and her two dogs, Milo and Canela, both rescued from the streets of Huaraz and each with their own personality. Tony's House Hostel has a rustic, laidback feel and is a bit of a walk from the main center, about 20-30 minutes, though you can take a taxi. That walk is good exercise before hikes anyway. I had a great stay and highly recommend it to people who bring positive energy.
