The staff went above and beyond, and even packed us breakfast to take at 5am for our 7am appointment at Machu Picchu. There’s a cafe attached, which was handy after we got off the train exhausted. The hotel is clean and in a great location for our needs in Aguas Calientes. Our room had a portable heater for cold weather, a bathroom with ventilation, and a hot shower. A great experience.

They'll store your bag while you're at machu Pichu, and I was also able to come back afterward and pay 30 soles to take a shower. That was amazing since checkout time had passed. The staff are super friendly, breakfast is great, and I love how close it is to the ticket offices, train station, and bus pickup. For what you pay, the rate is great. It's a place for travelers to sleep without spending a fortune, so don't expect an over-the-top hotel room. A couple of things to know: some rooms have windows facing the inside hallway, though they have curtains and the hotel turns the hallway lights off at 11. There are fans but no air-conditioning, which could be tough in the hot season. The bathroom is good, not great. This ain't a Marriot hotel or a case andina, and that's just fine.

The location is good, and the woman working there was nice and let us check out a little late. But when we went to leave, they tried to charge us an extra US$30, nearly the price of another night, even though the hotel was almost empty. That turned into an argument, and not knowing the country or whether the police might be corrupt made it pretty frightening. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows smelled funny, and we think we may have been bitten by bugs from the gross blanket. The shower controls were incredibly touchy: a 1mm turn one way made it burn like lava, and a 1mm turn the other way made it ice cold. Not a good experience. I would NEVER stay again.

The rooms are pretty small and just alright, but the price is very good for the area. Great location and service. They picked us up from the train station, which was nice, and the included breakfast was good. They also adjusted it around our bus time for Machu Picchu.

It's a basic hotel, but clean, with hot water and a heater for cold weather. The two women at reception were great. They don't speak English, but were very helpful in getting us to the bus ticket shop for our early morning trip up to Machu Pichu. Perfectly placed for the train, bus, and places to eat.
