The place was really cozy and clean, and everything was close by, about a six-minute walk. Our four-person bunk room had its own bathroom, the beds were pretty comfy, and there were curtains. They lent me a towel for free and even offered a breakfast bag for my early Machu Picchu departure.

For a solo traveler, this is a comfortable, spacious room at a good price for a night before Machu Picchu. Breakfast is included and the service is good, though staff speak limited English. Just know it's a little away from both the train station and the center of town.

The only reason we chose this hostel was its central location. The room was clean and okay, but the TV didn't work, the shower was barely a trickle of warm water, and the hairdryer was broken. I also didn't like the atmosphere. The woman at reception charged us more than the Booking.com price, and when we said that wasn't fair, she said paying extra was normal there.

The rooftop bar is a nice feature, and I think guests can use its kitchen too. The rooms are basic but have what you need from a good hostel. Just expect a bit of an uphill walk through the village to reach some restaurants.

A very relaxed place with great staff and a lovely terrace, probably the best in Aguas Calientes. It has a social hostel feel but is calm too. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
