The room was roomy, comfortable, and clean, and the view made it feel extra special. What really stood out was how warmly the staff treated us and how ready they were to help. Willy at reception was especially welcoming and patient while I was unsure about my plans. He was happy to help without trying to sell me anything. The hotel was spotless, including the room and breakfast space. It’s a good value, and I had helpful communication before arriving. Breakfast is included from 5 AM; checkout is at 9 AM, or you can pay USD $30 to leave at 2:30 PM. They’re also willing to work with you if you want to extend your stay. There’s a railway track right beside the hotel, though only one train went by overnight. In the morning you may hear roosters. Those sounds actually added a bit of Aguas Calientes charm. The hotel is also very close to the station and Machu Picchu bus pickup.

The only decent part was breakfast. There was no WiFi, no hot water, a broken hair dryer, and bugs and mosquitoes all over. The hotel is beside the train station, with trains passing every 30 minutes to an hour. A terrible stay, nowhere near a two-star place.

We had a comfortable stay, and breakfast from 5 in the morning was handy, with fresh fruit and juices. The hotel was very clean, in a convenient spot near the train station, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There’s no air conditioning, but when we asked for a fan, they made a real effort to get us one.
