I spent five months traveling around Latin America, and this was one of my favorite hotels. The colonial architecture and decor fit the name, and there's a small, cozy courtyard inside. The owner was friendly and helped with all our questions. Wi-Fi was the one drawback, though it wasn't too bad with a local SIM.

We liked it enough to add another night. The pillows were great for a good rest, and the whole place is nicely decorated like a colonial house. It's peaceful, close to the center but far enough from the noise. We'd recommend it.

We were meant to stay two nights, but left after the first. The room was filthy: a huge clump of hair in the shower, hairs in the bed, and stains of all kinds of colors on the blanket and pillows. There was a thick layer of dust on the bed frame, and the towels smelled bad and had a brown stain. We wanted to leave that first night, but apparently nobody is at reception overnight. We ended up sleeping without the disgusting blanket, and it was very cold and uncomfortable. The owner wouldn't refund the second night we didn't spend there, and we got no compensation for the first night either.

This cute boutique hotel is in a safe, quiet area, about 10 minutes by car from Plaza de Armas, with restaurants easy to get to. The personal service was excellent. I'd happily stay here again.

The room and bathroom were spacious, and breakfast was simple but good. It's in a quiet, safe spot, about a 20-minute walk from the central square.
